In Memory of Cher

You were loved by everyone who got to know you,
For your eager smile, your kindness and your loving ways.
If you had faults, we never saw any of them,
You brought sunshine into each of our cloudy days.

You took a part in everything meant to be supportive,
You made a big deal of any small thing someone did for you.
Anyone who talked with you came away feeling blessed,
Why you had to leave us so early, we haven't a clue.

Tears fell today when we found out that your time had come,
God's hands reached down and took you to a better place.
Now you sleep so peacefully that it calms my inner fears,
I'll always keep a memory of the sweet smile on your face.
